Your senior session is all about capturing who you are right now. The right clothing and a little preparation will make a huge difference in how your photos turn out. My goal is for you to look natural, confident, and like the very best version of yourself.
**********
Clothing
- Bring a few Outfits
- Having several options gives us variety throughout your gallery.
- A good mix includes:
- Casual everyday outfit
- Nice jeans with a button-up or polo
- Dressier outfit (sport coat or nicer shirt if that's your style)
- Athletic uniform, letter jacket, or jersey (optional)
- Hobby or interest outfit (hunting, fishing, cowboy, musician, etc.)
- Choose clothes that feel like YOU.

Colors That Photograph Best
These colors work beautifully in the White Mountains:
* Navy
* Olive green
* Forest green
* Burgundy
* Rust
* Cream
* White
* Tan
* Brown
* Charcoal
* Black
* Denim
**********
Avoid:
* Neon colors
* Bright fluorescent shirts
* Large logos
* Busy graphics
* Distracting patterns
Simple always photographs best.
**********
Jeans & Pants
Bring jeans that:
* Fit well
* Aren't sagging
* Have minimal wear
* Don't have holes unless that's your style
* Have empty pockets (phones and wallets create bulges)
Khakis or chinos also photograph great.
**********
Shoes Matter
- People don't realize how often shoes appear in photos.
- Please:
- Clean your shoes beforehand.
- Avoid heavily worn athletic shoes if possible.
- If wearing boots, wipe them down.
- Bring a second pair if you're unsure.
- Dirty shoes stand out much more than you think.
**********
Hair
- A fresh haircut is great...
- …but don't get it the day before.
- Try to schedule your haircut **5-10 days before** your session so it looks natural.
- Style your hair the way you normally wear it.
- Bring a comb if needed.
**********
Facial Hair
- If you normally shave...
- Shave the morning of your session.
- If you keep facial hair...
- Trim it neatly.
**********
Skin
- Drink plenty of water the day before.
- Avoid getting sunburned if possible.
- Don't stress over acne—small blemishes can usually be edited.
**********
Hands
- Believe it or not... Your hands show up in lots of photos.
- Please:
- Clean underneath fingernails.
- Trim nails if needed.
- Remove grease or dirt from working on vehicles or equipment.
**********
Teeth
- Brush your teeth before leaving.
- Don't snack on the way.
- Bring floss just in case.
- Avoid chewing gum during the session.
**********
Glasses
- If you wear glasses every day... Wear them!
- If you have transition lenses, know they may darken in the sun.
- Clean them before we start.
**********
What to Bring

* Football
* Baseball bat
* Basketball
* Fishing pole
* Hunting gear
* Guitar
* Truck
* Classic car
* Horse
* Dirt bike

* Bulging wallets
* Phones in pockets
* Keys in pockets
